Unwritten Legends takes place in a unique world called Thrael. When we refer to Thrael within the game, we are not speaking about Earth, even though Thrael does have a lot of similarities. In order to maximize both game-play enjoyment and flexibility, we have combined elements from many different periods and cultures of Earth's history. On occasion, we have also redefined, simplified, or even invented a word here and there to make the game world fit our fantasy theme. We are, after all, creating Thrael here – not attempting to duplicate Earth or be 100% historically accurate.
